It is no doubt that English from Plinth to Paramount by Neethu Singh is one of the finest books for English from SSC & Banking point of view, one should read it thoroughly and for practicing questions one can prefer Kiran. Plinth to paramount plus Kiran can cover your complete English section.

But as it is a language, so anything can be asked out of it, I recommend reading the newspaper like the Hindu, Times of India, etc daily just for half an hour which would enhance your Reading skill along with building your vocabulary.
